Stress in the workplace

Did you know that;

Employers have duties under the Management of Health and Safety at Work Regulations, 1999, to assess the risk of stress-related ill health arising from work activities; and under the Health and Safety at Work etc Act 1974, to take measures to control that risk. There are practical things that organisations can do to manage the risks associated with work related stress.

This is taken from the HSE website - The full page can be seen here;

I was surprised to read this, though I'm not sure why. It's important for everyone's wellbeing that stress is managed and levels controlled. Let's face it, no employer wants their employees to be off sick.

So, what can be done. I think you can probably guess what I'm about to say!

REFLEXOLOGY!

It's great for helping reduce stress.

Some employers have realised the benefits already, and offer free sessions to their employees, other's allow their employees to have time away from their desks to receive Reflexology which the employee pays for. Either way it's got to be a good thing!
